Regia 4-ply for Hand-Dye is a wool and polyamide yarn for dyeing yourself in your favourite colours. You can also knit socks in its natural shade.
Will socks made with it be durable?
Yes, the polyamide increases the yarn’s abrasion resistance — particularly important for heels and toes.
How should I wash the socks so they don’t shrink?
Wash on a gentle cycle at 40 °C without bleach. Tumble drying is permitted at a low temperature.
Will it suit my pattern, and which needles do I need?
Yes, if the yarn weight and your tension match the pattern requirements; start with 2–3 mm circular needles. Compare the pattern requirements with the yarn specifications; if your stitch count over the same width differs, change needle size.
