About Hollywool

There are two of us. Tanya knits and designs knitting patterns, and she has more ideas in a week than a shop can carry. I am Ilia, and my job is to get those ideas to you: the yarn found, the price honest, the parcel where it belongs.

We have done this before. In 2017 we opened Hollywool.ru and spent years learning what knitters actually ask for, which is rarely what a supplier catalogue puts first. This is the same shop built a second time, in Europe, from a French company based in Lyon.

No investor, no staff. The two of us and the people who order. That is what decides whether it holds.

What we sell

Yarn across the fibres knitters actually ask for, knitting needles and hooks, the tools that go with them, and books and patterns to knit from. Browse yarn, look at yarn by brand, or start with needles and tools and books and magazines.

Where your order comes from

We run no warehouse of our own. Orders are picked and dispatched from the German warehouse of our fulfilment partners. That is why checkout shows the delivery options, costs and timing for your address before you order, and why delivery estimates are honest rather than promotional.

How we describe products

Fibre content, metres per ball, needle sizes and safety information come from manufacturer and supplier records. Where a producer does not state something, we do not invent it — a gap is more useful to you than a guess.

Four languages

The shop runs in English, German, French and Russian. If a phrase reads oddly in yours, tell us and we will look at it.
