Description

Product information "Kremke Alpaka Bouclé - zt38 Meadow green"

Kremke Alpaka Bouclé yarn is an alpaca bouclé with polyamide, soft and fluffy to the touch. Its soft halo suits lightweight jumpers, sleeveless jumpers and cardigans.

How many balls do I need for a women’s jumper?

A women’s jumper in size M usually takes 4 balls. Check the yarn requirements in your pattern for your size.

Which season is this yarn suitable for?

For cool days and between seasons: alpaca is very warm and drapes softly, while this yarn is suitable for lightweight garments. Some knitters find the finished jumper soft and supple.

Will it suit my pattern, and which needles should I use?

Compare the thickness and tension given in your pattern with the specifications; start with 3.5–5 mm circular needles. If your tension does not match, try a different needle size; some knitters find wooden needles with blunt tips more comfortable.

Make a tension square, hand-wash it and check the tension: it may become looser after washing. Hand-wash the finished garment too; if you need a different texture for your next project, take a look at other Kremke yarns.

I bought the yarn for a scarf. Amazing softness and airiness. It knits up quite quickly despite being bouclé. I have decided to buy more for a jumper; I think it will become another favourite.

For an oversized raglan jumper with a high neck, in size 46 edging towards 48, I used 4 skeins, with just a tiny ball left over. I used the powder-pink yarn. Bouclé is certainly not the easiest thing to knit, but the result is worth it: a pink cloud! I experimented with needles, starting with metal ChiaoGoo, then trying wood. In the end I used a mix: metal in my left hand and bamboo in my right. That seemed faster and less likely to catch. A big thank-you to the girls at the Gleb Uspensky shop for helping wind the skeins into balls! ❤️❤️❤️

Kremke Alpaka Bouclé

I knitted a jumper with this yarn held together with Kremke Alpaca Superfine. Very economical: for size 44, I used about 3 skeins of bouclé and 2 skeins of the accompanying yarn (a high-neck jumper, not oversized but with some ease). Extremely warm, yet light, very soft and pleasant against the skin, with no itchiness at all. It looks cosy and striking, and the added yarn keeps the fabric from looking loose. The relative drawbacks of bouclé are that it needs precise calculations and careful assembly: once assembled, it is almost impossible to undo. That is what happened to me. I decided to rework the armholes after assembly, but could not unpick the sleeves. I had to cut into the fabric, buy more yarn and reknit from the start of the armholes (the yardage I gave above does not include this mistake, of course). Nevertheless, I am happy with the yarn and will use it again.

It was my first time knitting with bouclé. It was a little difficult at first, but worth it. The yarn is very soft and airy, and I am happy with the finished garment)

I knitted an oversized jumper and used a little over 3 balls. The yarn is very soft and light, and feels lovely against the skin. Bouclé is a little tricky to knit, but it is worth it)))

So soft, like a gentle little cat! My daughter liked it even before washing, and she is very sensitive: everything except cashmere feels itchy to her. Very economical: for a cardigan reaching below the hips, with long sleeves, I used 2.5 balls on 5.5 mm needles, held together with fine cotton. I chose Powder Pink; the colour on the screen matches real life.

This is amazing yarn, very soft and silky. The first time, I ordered light grey for a stole... it was so hard to resist changing plans and making a pullover instead.

Incredibly soft yarn! I thought I would not manage it, but the main thing is to start. Although the yarn is fine, the garment grows very quickly and easily on 5 mm needles. I do not usually like wearing knitted garments against bare skin, but this was a pleasant surprise: I had never felt such comfort. My top turned out delicate, airy, light and very, very soft. I am delighted =).

Kremke Alpaka Bouclé

The yarn is very soft and the colours are lovely. For a roomy jumper in size 46, I used just under 4 skeins. It looks great knitted up and stretches a little with wear, but that does not spoil my jumper. Very attentive service and exceptionally fast delivery; I ordered to Moscow. I am very happy with everything!

I knitted an oversized jumper with this yarn and am very pleased with the result. It is very warm and light! The yarn does not itch and feels pleasant against the skin. Knitting was a little tricky at first, but you just have to get used to working the stitches without catching the loops in the yarn. I recommend it to anyone wanting a warm, lightweight jumper.
