Description

Product information "BC Garn Bio Balance GOTS"

BC Garn Bio Balance GOTS is a soft twisted yarn made from wool and cotton for jumpers, T-shirts, sleeveless jumpers and tops: the wool helps textured stitches hold their shape.

What does the wool in this yarn feel like?

Some knitters find the yarn pleasant to the touch; how the wool feels depends on skin sensitivity.

Is it suitable for children's clothing?

Yes, it is used for children's clothing. Wool can felt when rubbed in warm water, so wash the garment gently and avoid rubbing.

Which needles should I choose and will it suit my pattern?

Start with 3 mm circular needles. Check the Fingering weight and stitches per 10 cm in the specifications against your pattern; if the tension does not match, choose different needles.

Before you start, make a tension square and wash it, and check the yarn requirements against the knitting pattern for your size. If the pattern calls for thicker yarn, take a look at other BC Garn yarn.

BC Garn Bio Balance GOTS

Amazing yarn. I crocheted a cardigan with it, and it stood up well to several rounds of unravelling, reworking and steaming. It stretches a little with wear; I allowed for that before reworking it and made it a little shorter, so the final size is perfect. It breaks if pulled too tightly. The yardage is very good and it feels lovely!

I have already knitted 5 jumpers with this yarn. I like it very much. They turn out light and fine, neither too warm nor bulky. I will keep knitting with it. I am waiting for the Spruce and Plum colours. 5 balls are more than enough for sizes S to L.

Cotton and wool are an ideal combination for every season, especially in Saint Petersburg. A child's jumper for a height of 110–113 cm took 2.5 balls. I even machine-washed it, and the garment did not change at all. It would also work for a T-shirt for a cool summer.

The yarn feels very pleasant to the touch. I am knitting my husband a scarf for autumn, and the fabric is fine and soft. The Denim colour (013) is very stylish. I will definitely order more.

I bought it for a reversible child's hat with shaped earflaps. It took 1.5 skeins for a head circumference of 50 cm. It stretched a little with wear. Comfortable to wear, warm and not sweaty. At first it felt a little stiff, but my child does not scratch their forehead.

I bought it for an adult hat and cowl set and used a little less than 3 skeins. The cotton blend feels very pleasant! The only drawback is that it will not hold ribbing.

This yarn is ideal for transitional-season clothing and indoor wear. A child's cabled jumper in size 146–152 took 4 skeins. It feels lovely, knits up quickly and wears well.

BC Garn Bio Balance GOTS

I bought this yarn for a jumper for cool summer weather. The fabric feels very pleasant against the skin, and the finished garment is fine but quite warm. It is incredibly economical: for a size 42 jumper with 3/4-length sleeves, I used about 170–180 g. The marled colouring gives the garment a rustic look. There is just one drawback: it creases.
