BC Garn Bio Balance GOTS is a soft twisted yarn made from wool and cotton for jumpers, T-shirts, sleeveless jumpers and tops: the wool helps textured stitches hold their shape.

Some knitters find the yarn pleasant to the touch; how the wool feels depends on skin sensitivity.
Is it suitable for children's clothing?
Yes, it is used for children's clothing. Wool can felt when rubbed in warm water, so wash the garment gently and avoid rubbing.
Which needles should I choose and will it suit my pattern?
Start with 3 mm circular needles. Check the Fingering weight and stitches per 10 cm in the specifications against your pattern; if the tension does not match, choose different needles.

BC Garn Bio Balance GOTS
I really liked the yarn! Soft, warm and cosy. I crocheted a cardigan with knitted edgings. It does not hold ribbing, but I did not need it to. After washing and blocking, the yarn became softer and fuller, and the fabric stretched a little, so a swatch is essential. The colours also became just a tiny bit more muted. My skin is sensitive to prickly fibres, and I can hardly feel any prickliness here!
I used a 2.75 mm crochet hook and 3 mm knitting needles. It took 444 grams)

One of my favourite yarns from this manufacturer. It is neither too warm nor itchy. I have made tops with it, but my latest project was a bonnet for a baby girl.
Delicate and soft.
The only thing is that if you knit loosely, it can lose some shape after washing and blocking. It also does not hold ribbing very well.

Excellent yarn, with a fibre blend that is not too warm. I knitted my daughter a vest. She has been wearing it to nursery for the second year now. There is a little pilling, but it is easy to remove. The colour does not bleed or fade in the wash.
The yarn is fragile for children's clothing.
I bought this yarn in a physical shop.
I asked for it to be wound into a cake straight away. The free winding service is a huge plus.

I bought the yarn for a knitted jumper, but ended up crocheting one instead, and that was the right choice. The yarn worked beautifully in the stitch pattern, holds its shape and does not stretch. I am very glad I bought it. Thank you.

An unusual yarn, new to me, that feels pleasant on the needles. I am knitting a tunic from a pattern for this yarn, and the fabric looks beautiful. I bought colour 03, a lovely green shade.
There are none
I really enjoy trying new yarn textures. This one is new to me and very comfortable to knit with. The fabric comes out even, although the yarn is a little fine for my usual taste.

I have not found any
I knitted a vest with it, adding a strand of silk mohair, and also a child's cardigan. Colours 11 and 03. In both cases the quality was excellent: absolutely no colour bleeding, and only the tiniest amount of pilling, even after 2–3 months of almost daily wear. Best of all, my child loved how it felt against the skin.

Excellent yarn. I knitted my daughter a jumper in size 42/44 and used fewer than three skeins. It is 60 cm long and turned out lovely, without any itchiness. A pleasure to knit. I am happy, and my daughter is too. Recommended!

The yarn has interesting colouring and feels pleasant to the touch. It does not itch in the finished garment. Time will tell how it wears.

BC Garn Bio Balance GOTS
This yarn goes an astonishingly long way! I had calculated 6 balls for a men's jumper, but used only 4. With the remaining two, plus one extra ball I bought, I knitted another one. Then I made a women's jumper and a blanket for a newborn, and again there was a ball left over. Working with this yarn has been a positive experience, and there are lots of colours too.
