West Yorkshire Spinners ColourLab Aran
ColourLab Aran is a 100% wool yarn in the Aran weight, supplied as a 100 g ball with approximately 166 m of yarn. Its 50-99 m per 50 g density gives knitted fabric a substantial structure, while the shade selection covers warm, special-effect, cool, neutral and vibrant choices. There are 22 colours to choose from.
For knitting, use 5 mm needles as a starting point and check your gauge swatch against 18-24 sts per 10 cm. The 166 m length provides a useful basis for estimating yarn needs, with the finished yield depending on your project, stitch pattern and tension.
Care is restricted to dry cleaning or a wool wash at 40 °C. Do not tumble dry, bleach or iron the finished item, helping you protect the wool fibre and knitted shape during care.
