Sandnes Garn Sisu is a soft multi-ply yarn made from wool and nylon. Wool maintains stitch definition, while nylon increases abrasion resistance — which is why it is used for socks and jumpers.
Is it suitable for socks, and will it be durable?
Yes, it is recommended for socks; knitters also use it for stranded colourwork.
How should I wash it, and will it shrink?
Whether the finished item keeps its size depends on its care: friction in warm water can cause the knitted fabric to felt. Check the care instructions on the label.
Is it suitable for textured patterns, and which needles should I use?
