Rowan Felted Tweed Aran is a tweed yarn made from wool, alpaca and viscose, with small, light-coloured flecks. It makes warm pullovers and cardigans with distinctive cables and stranded colourwork: the flecks do not distract from the pattern.
Which season is it suited to?
It is well suited to winter garments: the wool holds stitch definition, and many knitters find that the yarn becomes softer after washing. Wash wool garments gently, avoiding rubbing in warm water: wool can felt.
Will it suit my pattern, and which needles should I use?
5 mm circular needles are commonly used for this yarn. Check the Aran weight, tension and needles in your pattern against the yarn specifications; if they differ, choose a different needle size.
