Rowan Felted Tweed is a plied yarn made from wool, alpaca and viscose with a tweed effect that looks slightly felted in the knitted fabric. The soft yarn is suitable for lace knitting, garter stitch and colourwork.

Which needles should I use, and will it suit my pattern?
Start with 3.5 mm circular needles; look for patterns that call for DK yarn. Check the yarn thickness and tension in the specifications against your pattern: if the tension does not match, try a different needle size.
Check the amount of yarn required against the pattern for your size. Make a tension square and gently hand-wash it: friction in warm water can felt the wool. If another project calls for a different texture, take a look at other Rowan yarns.
