DMC Rowan Alpaca Sparkle yarn is a blend of polyester, alpaca, wool and cotton. Polyester adds strength to the yarn — a useful property for items you wear often.
Will it suit my pattern, and which needles do I need?
That depends on your tension: a starting point is 6 mm circular needles. Check the yarn weight, stitches per 10 cm and needle size in the pattern against the specifications; if they differ, choose a different needle size.
Use the number of balls given in the knitting pattern for your size; before you start, make a tension square and wash it by hand. Dry flat in the shade and do not tumble dry. If the pattern calls for a different yarn weight, compare its requirements with other DMC Rowan yarn.
