DMC Rowan Alpaca Haze yarn is a blend of alpaca, wool and polyamide for anyone planning to knit a shawl or wrap. Alpaca drapes softly and gives a light halo.
Which season is this yarn suitable for?
For the colder months: the fibre content is predominantly very warm alpaca. Hand wash the finished garment and dry flat in the shade; do not tumble dry.
Will it suit my pattern, and what needles should I use?
Start with 7 mm circular needles; for your pattern, check the yarn thickness, stitches per 10 cm and needle size against the specifications. If your tension differs, choose a different needle size.
For a pattern using thicker yarn, look at other DMC Rowan yarn. Take the number of balls needed for a shawl or wrap from the knitting pattern; knit and wash your tension square before starting.
