The stitch holder from Novita is an accessory for those times when you need to set part of your knitting aside rather than cast it off. It comes in handy when working on a jumper if you are leaving live stitches to continue a section later.
When should you transfer stitches to a holder?
Transfer them when the instructions tell you to leave part of a row unworked temporarily, for example when shaping the neckline. First work to the specified point, then put the required stitches on hold and continue knitting the rest of the fabric.
How do you continue the section on hold?
Return the held stitches to your working needle when the pattern tells you to work on that section again. For example, after working on the body of the jumper, you can move on to the sleeve.
