Novita Viola Metsäretki yarn is a wool and polyamide blend for fine socks patterned in shades of the Finnish forest. There’s no need to choose and switch between different coloured yarns.
Will socks made with it be durable?
Yes, the polyamide content makes the yarn more resistant to abrasion. This helps the socks last longer with wear.
Will one ball be enough for a pair of socks?
Yes, one ball is enough for a pair even in the largest size.
Can the socks be machine washed?
Yes, wash on a gentle cycle at 40 °C. Dry flat and do not tumble dry.
Use one ball for a pair; before starting, make a tension square using 2.5–3 mm circular needles and wash it, then compare the tension with that given in the pattern. To combine multicoloured sections with plain ones, choose a solid-colour Viola from the other Novita yarns.
