Mayflower Sock Yarn Mars is a wool and polyamide yarn for socks that develop stripes as you work. We've noticed that knitters praise the rich colours; some, pleased with their finished pair, want to try another colourway. The two socks won't be completely identical: start the second at the same point in the colour repeat to have a little control over the pattern.
Will the socks be durable?
Yes, polyamide increases abrasion resistance. This added fibre helps the fabric last longer with frequent wear.
Will the socks be warm?
Yes, you can make warm socks with it: the wool content provides warmth. Do not tumble dry the finished garment.
Check the number of balls against your pattern. Make a tension square and wash it. If your next pattern calls for a different fibre content, consider other Mayflower yarns.
