Mayflower Santiago Light yarn is a light, fluffy blend of wool, polyamide and alpaca with a wavy structure. It is used to make jumpers and scarves with airy, lofty knitted fabric.
Does it feel scratchy?
According to knitters, Santiago Light is very soft.
Does it wear well?
Some knitters feel that the yarn wears well. Wool's springiness helps cables and ribbing retain their definition.
Before starting, make a tension square and compare its tension with the pattern. For this yarn, you can start with 3.5–4 mm circular needles; check the yarn thickness, tension and needles specified in the pattern.
