Mayflower Alliance is a fine, soft cotton and acrylic yarn for pullovers and T-shirts with added shine. The long cotton fibres make it hard-wearing, so garments stand up to everyday wear.
Is it suitable for a summer jumper?
Yes, it is suitable for a summer version of your favourite jumper: light and cool against the skin. It contains no animal fibres.
How should I wash it, and will my garment lose its shape?
The blend retains its shape and softness after washing. Dry flat or tumble dry at a low temperature.
How many balls do I need for a pullover?
The number depends on the pattern and your size. Use as many balls as the pattern specifies.
We have noticed that knitters often choose 4 mm circular needles; make a tension square and wash it. If your pattern calls for a different fibre content, compare its requirements with the specifications of other Mayflower yarn.
