Description
Product information "Kremke Stellaris - 180 Beige silver"
Kremke Stellaris is a fine yarn made from viscose, polyester and metallic fibre, with a subtle shimmer. It is held together with the main yarn to highlight ribbing, textured sections, a yoke or the whole knitted fabric without adding thickness.
Does it feel scratchy?
Some knitters describe Stellaris as a yarn that does not feel scratchy.
Will it suit my pattern, and which needles should I use?
The pattern may be suitable if the thickness and tension it specifies match the yarn's characteristics; for fabric worked with Stellaris alone, 1.5 mm circular needles are a guide. If they do not match, choose a different needle size.
Can I add it to another yarn for shine?
Yes, many knitters do this: they add Stellaris to ribbing, textured sections, a yoke or the whole knitted fabric. The shimmer stays subtle, and it does not add thickness to the main yarn.
Make a tension square using Stellaris together with your main yarn and wash it gently to check the tension and shine. If you need a different texture for the main yarn, compare Stellaris with other Kremke yarns.

Kremke Stellaris
Beautiful lurex! It gives a delicate, restrained sparkle. I held it together with mohair for the ‘Мадлен’ jumper, and with Donegal for mittens.

I had always wanted to try adding some sparkle to a garment, but was afraid to experiment. So my first test project was socks using Kremke Stellaris in New Year's Mandarin. The yarn does not itch and is beautiful. I used it together with Rellana and Kremke Edelweiss.

Very beautiful

It looks gorgeous in the finished garment, is easy to knit with and gives an incredibly beautiful shine. I really liked it. I used Kremke Stellaris (139/Alexandrinsky Theatre Seats) as the second strand, with Kremke Silky Kid (19052/Deepest Burgundy) as the main yarn. Pattern: ‘Мадлен’ jumper.

An interesting yarn. I made a small veil to decorate a hat and enjoyed working with it. I plan to add it as a second strand to merino for a decorative effect. The shimmer is just wow.
You have to get used to it

Kremke Stellaris
The best lurex available on the Russian market. A fine, soft, supple thread of indescribable beauty. Excellent yardage and economical to use. I have knitted it with Bio Balance, Onion and even Tussah Tweed! Incidentally, Stellaris and Tussah Tweed together are something very special; I loved the result! I will definitely use it again, especially as the palette leaves plenty of room for experimentation.)

I tried it and liked it. It gives the garment a delicate shimmer. I knitted it together with Bio Balance, and it does not itch. Go for it, I recommend it. For size 44, I used one and a half balls.

Love at first sight! Very soft and silky. It does not itch in the finished garment. A delicate shimmer, a varied colour palette and good yardage.

Kremke Stellaris
The softest lurex, almost silky! You cannot feel it at all in the finished garment. A wonderful palette: usually you only get silver, gold and black, but here there are different shades of the same colour.
