DMC Eco Vita Raffia yarn is a flat ribbon made from wood fibre, pliable and strong. It retains its natural look in knitted fabric, which is why it is used to make bags and hats.
Which season is it suitable for?
For summer projects: wood fibre does not absorb heat, and knitters also use raffia for baskets and plant pot covers.
Will it work with my needles and pattern?
Check the Aran weight, tension over 10 cm and needle size in your pattern against the specifications; the guide for this yarn is 4–5 mm circular needles. If your tension differs, change the needle size.
For the number of balls, check the yarn requirements in your chosen pattern for your size. Make a tension square, hand wash it and dry it flat; if you need a different texture for another project, take a look at other DMC yarns.
