Description
Product information "BC Garn Loch Lomond LACE GOTS - 20 Bordeaux"
BC Garn Loch Lomond LACE GOTS is a single-ply wool yarn with tweed neps and a rustic texture. The neps add volume to the knitted fabric, while the fine yarn is suitable for lace knitting and warm garments.
Is it suitable for a lace shawl?
Yes, this yarn is chosen for lace knitting; some knitters achieve good results when blocking the finished shawl.
Is it suitable for a warm cardigan?
Yes, it is used to knit cardigans and jumpers: the wool is warm and springy, so cables and stranded colourwork stand out clearly. Hand wash the garment in cold water and dry flat.
Which needles should I use?
Start with 2–3 mm circular needles. Compare the needle size and stitches per 10 cm given in the pattern with the yarn specifications; if the figures differ, choose needles that give you the pattern's tension.
Before you start, wind the yarn into a ball, then knit and wash your tension square to check the tension and how the knitted fabric behaves after washing. If you need a different texture for your next garment, take a look at other BC Garn yarns.

BC Garn Loch Lomond LACE GOTS
- I found the yarn quite even
- very, very soft
- the most beautiful tweed
- breaks easily
On my first visit to Hollywool to buy yarn for a triangular scarf, I saw Loch Lomond Lace in Bitter Chocolate and could not leave without it) That was quite brave, considering I was only just learning to knit. The yarn really is fine and breaks easily, so it needs careful work; I also found several breaks in the skein. But all that is nothing compared with the final result! This yarn is so lovely that the fabric looks machine-knitted, in the best possible way.
Unfortunately, I lost the scarf somewhere, but I have already bought more of this yarn to make a sweater)

A soft, delicate yarn with a cotton-wool-like feel; it hardly itches even on sensitive skin. Excellent yardage, even held double. The tweed flecks are beautiful. So far it has not pilled; we will see how it goes.
It breaks easily, so handle it carefully. Held double, it is of course stronger)
An economical yarn for garments worn next to the skin: very warm without being hot, and easy to knit with. Held double, it can broadly replace regular Loch Lomond, though it comes out a little thinner and blooms slightly less after washing. I particularly want to mention the Bitter Chocolate shade with its incredible blue tweed flecks: such a rare and gorgeous combination. As always with BC Garn, the palette is lovely and the colours mix beautifully, making it ideal for marled combinations.

The fibre content, yardage, colour palette and softness after washing (it also fluffs up nicely)
It is a lightly spun yarn and breaks very easily while knitting.
Despite the delicate yarn, the gloves turned out quite sturdy. I knitted a men's pair and still had quite a lot left from the skein. They turned out warm and beautiful.

Delicate, warm and beautiful
For me, there are none
I adore tweed, but to be honest I did not immediately dare to buy this super-fine yarn. My doubts disappeared when I saw gloves knitted in Lace. Wow!!! I fell in love at first sight and immediately wanted exactly the same pair. And then a turtleneck, of course))
A fine, warm fabric that feels lovely to the touch, with beautiful, delicate tweed flecks.
For those who are not afraid of fine needles and a rather slow project.
But the result will win you over =)

BC Garn Loch Lomond LACE GOTS
I really liked this yarn! It was my first time knitting with a lightly spun yarn, and at first I was worried: the thread is not completely even, and I found breaks in two skeins. But that does not take anything away from its good qualities. It is the softest 100% wool; after washing and blocking it becomes even softer, the stitches even out beautifully, and the fabric is weightless, supple and warm! I used 2.5 mm Tulip needles! Highly recommended )

I really liked this tweed: the yarn is even, without knots or thick spots. It produces a fabric with a rich texture. 100% wool, yet it does not itch at all. I am crocheting a beret and I am thrilled with the quality of the little work of art taking shape in my hands!

BC Garn Loch Lomond LACE GOTS
I really liked this yarn! It is the softest wool tweed I have come across. For such a fine lightly spun yarn, its thickness is very even and it is quite strong, though it still needs gentle handling. I used it for stranded colourwork. The result was gorgeous! It blooms beautifully after washing and blocking and is completely transformed. I recommend it to people who love fine yarns, like me :)

A very beautiful colour palette, and a little goes a long way

A wonderfully vibrant tweed; the yarn blooms beautifully after washing. You will need patience to knit with something this fine, but it is 100% worth it
