Description
Product information "BC Garn Allino Linen/Cotton - 17 Orange"
BC Garn Allino Linen/Cotton yarn is suitable for summer tops, T-shirts and jumpers: the plied yarn contains equal parts cotton and linen. The knitted fabric combines a matt finish with a slight sheen, and the subtle marl does not overpower the pattern.
Which season is this yarn suitable for?
For spring and summer. The knitted fabric drapes well, according to knitters; linen becomes softer over time.
Can it be machine-washed, and will the knitted fabric change?
It can be machine-washed. The knitted fabric relaxes slightly after washing, so the final tension depends on the needles and finishing.
Will it suit my pattern, and which needles should I use?
A pattern may be suitable if the DK weight and tension match: compare its tension with the guide tension of 22 stitches per 10 cm. Start with 3.5 mm circular needles; if the tension does not match, change needles.
Make a tension square and wash it; check your pattern for the amount of yarn needed for your project. If your next pattern calls for a different yarn weight, take a look at other BC Garn yarn.

BC Garn Allino Linen/Cotton
The colours and fibre content
The amount of yarn needed; the garment turns out decidedly heavy
I finally got a wearable top on the fourth attempt. My long-sleeved top took 9 balls and two years of thinking about it) But I am pleased with the result. The colours alone deserve five stars, though a garment like this feels rather heavy in hot weather.

I bought this yarn for a summer top in colour 13 Pink Flamingo. While knitting, it felt as if I were working with pure linen: rather coarse. But I personally like that) After washing and blocking, the linen softened and the fabric became much more elastic. I think I would prefer to knit it more loosely; then the garment would be lighter and have more drape, if you can say that about a linen/cotton blend. It feels fantastic against the skin! Lovely! I would buy another colour; only my yarn stash is stopping me)))
There cannot be any!

I bought this yarn for a summer tank top and really liked the result! The yarn is very comfortable to work with and knits up quickly. After washing and blocking, it bloomed and the fabric evened out. I also used fabric conditioner. The finished fabric is soft and pleasant against the skin. The Natural Linen shade is wonderful! The yarn colour on the website is true to life. For a tank top in size 48–50, I used 5 balls and 3.25 mm needles.

I bought the lovely, delicate Forget-me-not shade for a child's dress. It was my first experience with this fibre blend. The dress turned out heavy and stiff; my child refuses to wear it, and washing has not softened it. My conclusion: better for adult garments.

I knitted a top with this yarn and am very happy with the result. The yarn has just the right amount of rustic texture and forms even stockinette stitches. I used 4 mm needles and the fabric came out quite supple. A very good option for summer garments.

I liked the yarn. I knitted a jumper and wore it on summer evenings. It shrinks a little after washing and blocking.

A lovely summer yarn. I knitted a top in size 44–46 on 3 mm needles and used a little over 5 balls. Colour No. 12 is a delicate pink, not completely uniform but slightly marled; it looks very pretty in the finished garment.
