Aki is a knitting pattern for a light V-neck sweater with a Japanese-style modified drop shoulder, worked top-down in stockinette stitch. You get the pattern as PDF files in English and Russian. The fit is relaxed but moderate, not boxy, and the pattern covers four sizes from 42–44 to 54–56.

All measurements in cm. Neckline depth and width, armhole depth and ribbing height are given in the pattern’s measurement table. Because the sweater is knitted from the top down, you can try it on as you go and easily adjust the body and sleeve length.

Which yarn can I use?
The pattern lists BC Garn Hamelton Tweed 1 GOTS, Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt and Garnstudio DROPS Nepal. You can also use another Aran weight yarn as long as you get the gauge (18 sts × 22 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in)). Substitutes for Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt · Substitutes for BC Garn Hamelton Tweed 1 GOTS. The Russian version lists Jody Long Andeamo Lite (also Painted) as an alternative to BC Garn Hamelton Tweed 1 GOTS.
Which skills do I need?
Casting on, knitting flat and in the round, knit and purl stitches, left- and right-leaning decreases and increases (ssk / k2tog, M1L / M1R) and binding off. The English version links to short videos for some techniques.
