Materials and tools

• Sock yarn, suitable by parameters 400-420 m/100 g (200-210 m/50 g). Consumption per pair of slippers is up to 50 g of yarn.
• Yarn of a contrasting color with the same parameters for casting on stitches and decor (optional)
• Needles 2.0 – 2.5 mm on a long cable (from 80 cm)

Gauge

Gauge: The knitting density in stockinette stitch after blocking on 2.25 mm needles is 35 stitches per 48 rows in a 10 by 10 cm square.

Construction

These slippers are knitted starting from the toe using the false heel (boomerang heel) method. The toe is separated by a decorative element which can be knitted in the same color, a different color, replaced with purl stitch, or omitted.

The pattern includes detailed instructions for toe knitting, foot shaping with options for decorative elements, cutout shaping, heel construction, and finishing with a ribbed cuff. The slippers are knit using the MAGIC LOOP method with guidance for double-pointed needles as an alternative.

Wet-heat treatment

After finishing the work, weave in the ends and perform a wet-heat treatment. Gently wash your slippers in a solution of water with a special detergent, for instance, use Hollywool solid or liquid soap with lanolin. Remove excess water with a terry towel and lay the socks flat on a dry, horizontal surface in a ventilated room away from heat sources. To give the socks a more perfect shape and block them, it is recommended to use Hollywool sock blockers of the appropriate size.
