Gauge
- Size 52-54 cm: 15 stitches per 10 cm (5.50 mm needles)
- Size 56-58 cm: 14 stitches per 10 cm (6.00 mm needles)
- Size 60 cm: 13 stitches per 10 cm (6.00 / 6.50 mm needles)
Tip: The looser your knitting tension (fewer stitches per cm), the looser your hat will be.
Instructions Summary
Cast on 67 stitches and join to work in the round to have 66 stitches. Knit according to pattern up to row 44. Decreases begin at row 45 as follows:
- Row 45: knit without decreases
- Row 46: *marker, purl 2 stitches together purlwise, slip 1 knit stitch and leave in front, knit next stitch, knit slipped stitch, purl 2 stitches together purlwise; repeat to end
- Row 47: marker, 1 purl, knit 2 stitches together with left slant, 1 purl; repeat to end (33 stitches remain)
- Row 48: move marker 1 stitch forward, 1 knit, purl 2 stitches together purlwise; repeat to end (22 stitches remain)

Notations
