Knitting Density
Jauge: 30 stitches x 42 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 2.50 mm needles (after MHT).
Everyone has their own unique way of knitting: some knit tightly, while others knit more loosely. The knitting density affects the quality of the product, its appearance, and size. Before starting work, it is necessary to knit a sample swatch in the pattern that will be used for the sock. This is necessary to calculate the number of stitches and understand how this pattern will look with the chosen yarn. (For example: knit a 12 x 12 cm sample, wash it in warm water, and dry it flat. When the sample is dry, count the stitches in one row and the number of rows in a 10 x 10 cm square. This will be the knitting density. For circular knitting, the sample must be knit in the round).
