Jauge
Pattern gauge after wet blocking: 25 sts and 30 rows = 10×10 cm with 3.25 mm needles.
The gauge of your knitting may differ significantly from the gauge stated in the description. It is recommended to knit a sample and check the gauge. If there are discrepancies, select needles of a different size.
Construction
The t-shirt is knitted from the bottom up, in circular rows. Up to the armholes, circular rows are knitted, then divided into front and back. Increases are made to form the sleeves. Then the t-shirt is knitted in turning rows to the height of the armholes. The back is knitted higher than the front – ASIAN FIT. Then the shoulder seams are done, and the neckline and sleeve edges are finished.
Body
Cast on 204 (216, 228, 240) stitches with the main yarn on 3.5 mm needles (or 0.5 -1 size larger to avoid a tight cast-on edge) using the I-CORD METHOD. Close the stitches into a circle, place markers, switch to 3.25 mm needles, and knit following pattern repeats as per size.
Knit 112 (112, 104, 104) rows, which is 14 (14, 13, 13) pattern repeats in height, or 30 (30, 28, 28) cm in height.
The length of the t-shirt to the armholes can be adjusted to personal preferences by knitting shorter or longer.
Back and Front
After dividing stitches for front and back, continue knitting in turning rows with increases to form sleeves. The back neckline and shoulder slopes are formed by short rows with yarn overs to avoid holes. The front neckline is formed by knitting shortened rows with markers and yarn overs for shaping. The back height is 2 cm higher than the front for a better fit (Asian fit).
Finishing
The neckline finishing is done with an I-cord hollow cord. Similarly, armhole edges are finished by picking up stitches and knitting an I-cord. All yarn ends are tucked in.
Wet Heat Treatment
After wet heat treatment, the t-shirt may stretch by 2-3 cm both in width and length. When wet, it may seem significantly shrunk, but shaping it to the required sizes is recommended. The t-shirt must be hand washed with water at 30-35°C with a washing agent, soaked for 10-15 minutes, rinsed, squeezed in a terry towel, laid out horizontally and reshaped twice over 10-12 hours.
