Jauge

Stockinette stitch density: 34 stitches and 55 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern Notes

The gloves are knitted in stockinette stitch in the round with a thumb gusset incorporated and 1 6 ribbing for the cuff.

You can knit two gloves simultaneously. The right glove is a mirror image of the left, differing only in the knitting of the thumb gusset.

Construction Overview

1. Cast on stitches and knit the cuff in the round with 1 6 ribbing.
2. Switch to stockinette stitch and knit the thumb gusset using increases from yarn-overs. Separate stitches for the thumb.
3. Knit the main part of the glove up to the base of the little finger and separate stitches for the little finger.
4. Distribute stitches for the remaining fingers and knit each finger individually including the thumb.
5. Use crossed knit stitches with a right slant for the left glove thumb gusset and with a left slant for the right glove.
6. Finish with wet-heat treatment (washing and blocking) to shape the gloves.

Conseils d'entretien

Wash the gloves in cool water using a liquid soap without lanolin. Gently stretch the fabric during washing so the stitches fall into place. Use glove blockers for a perfect finish.
