Construction
The garment is knitted in parts from the bottom: front, back, two sleeves. The front and back are joined at the shoulder by connecting open stitches using a crochet hook. The hook is also used when attaching the sleeves to the body of the garment. Side seams are finished with a tapestry needle.
Important: Leave open stitches on the neckline of the back to shape it with short rows. When knitting a V-neck on the front, divide the knitting into two parts, each with a section for knitting the cable along the neckline. The cable continues when transitioning from the front to the back by joining it to the open stitches of the back neckline.
Patterns Used
- Purl stitch with turn rows in the main fabric
- 1*1 ribbing with turn rows (knitted on 4 mm needles)
- Lace pattern (cable of 30 stitches) according to the chart
- Lace pattern for knitting the cable along the neckline according to the chart
Assembly
Form the shoulder seams by connecting the open shoulder stitches, not affecting the 10 stitches of the cable along the neckline. Continue to knit the cable from both sides with two skeins, gradually capturing the open stitches on the back and including them in the knitting. Crochet around the neckline with slip stitches for stabilization and shape fixation. Attach sleeves after wet heat treatment. Finish side seams and steam without stretching the garment.
